ITIDA: America and the UAE top the list of countries importing Egyptian IT products and services

Maha Rashad: The Gulf market is confident in the linguistic and technical qualities of Egyptian youth and more than 65 Egyptian technology companies with branches in the United Arab Emirates.


 
The GITEX Dubai 2018 exhibition, which will be held from 14-18 October 2009, has started with strong Egyptian participation organized by ITIDA.

Maha Rashad, Acting Chief Executive of the Authority, headed the Egyptian delegation to the exhibition where ITIDA supports the participation of 32 exhibitors, including 8 start-ups, under the Egyptian pavilion, which takes Time for Egypt as its logo.

Egypt's participation in the Middle East and North Africa's largest and most important technology exhibition aims to enhance the opportunities of Egyptian companies to be strong in the GCC market in line with the strategy priorities to increase exports of the IT sector and associated services.

Maha Rashad pointed out that the GCC market is one of the biggest attractive markets for Egyptian companies due to the confidence of the decision makers in the technical and linguistic capabilities of Egyptian youth and the innovative technological solutions offered by the Egyptian companiesIn the Gulf States.

 
The UAE is at the top of the list of Gulf countries where Egyptian companies exported technology products and services by 2017, according to the latest statistics of the export support program of the Authority for 2017, pointing out that there are more than 65 Egyptian technological companies with branches In the United Arab Emirates, according to the database of companies registered with the Authority.

The statistics of the export support program showed that the United States of America is the top destination of imports by 26%, followed by the UAE 14%, Canada 13%, China 9%, the United Kingdom 6% and Saudi Arabia by 5%.

The Egyptian companies offer various solutions and technology products, including business and enterprise management solutions, integrated systems, network solutions and management, call center services and outsourcing, application and website development, e-government services and other solutions.

Among the most prominent companies participating under the pavilion is ZINAD, a specialized company in the field of information security,
Xceed, Bright Information Systems (ERP), and EN2L, which offers an innovative application that helps to find the nearest cars, winches, and trilates to help solve home furniture problems and car failures.
