Russian taxi drivers Yandex Taxi has announced a new feature that will facilitate communication between drivers and tourists from around the world.
"The application of Yandex Taxi on phones and smart devices will see in the next few days the emergence of chat feature with an interpreter, which will facilitate communication between motorists and foreign tourists coming to Russia."
The service is characterized by the ability to convert speech directly to a text message, which can be exchanged between the user and the driver and in 94 different languages, including Russian, English and French.
The launch of Yandex for this unique service coincides with Russia's hosting of the FIFA World Cup, which is witnessing a wide audience from different countries.
