Volvo has released new pictures of its first electric trucks, due to appear late next year.
Volvo developed the new FL Electric to be a medium-sized medium-haul truck, equipped with an environmentally friendly electric engine and 6 batteries with capacities ranging from 100 to 300 kWh.
To recharge the batteries, the company designed a "CCS / Combo2" charger that fills the batteries in just two hours, so the car can then transfer about 16 tons of cargo to distances of up to 300 km.
Volvo experts say production of this type of truck will start in Europe early next year and come up with several months at competitive prices and cheap maintenance costs that encourage business owners to acquire.
