Amazon is setting up the Middle East's first Middle East-based Internet hub, and is headquartered in Bahrain to manage its business in the region.
Amazon.com has announced its plan to launch an infrastructure region in the Middle East by early 2019.The company said in a statement on Monday, according to the Anatolia, that the "Amazon Internet Service" in the Middle East, will be based in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and will consist of when launched from three sites to provide services.The new infrastructure allows customers to manage business in the Middle East more efficiently and faster. Amazon Internet Services, the world's most comprehensive cloud platform for 11 years, provides more than 90 integrated computing and cloud storage services.The company currently provides 44 sites to provide services in 16 infrastructure areas around the world, with plans to open 14 new service availability sites in five regions in China, France, Hong Kong and Sweden.In its statement, Amazon said it plans to launch a second infrastructure area in the United States, which will be operational by the end of 2018.According to the statement, Amazon plans to launch the AWS Edge Network Location in the UAE in the first quarter of 2018, providing a range of services in the Middle East.The US-based e-commerce firm, Amazon, ended last July with the acquisition of e-commerce, the largest electronic shopping and retail platform in the Middle East, based in Dubai.Amazon Inc., a multinational multinational electronics trading company headquartered in Seattle, Washington, is the world's largest online retailer.
