KUWAIT: Kuwait's Capital Market Authority (CMA) has issued two pending decisions to sign the new chairman of the board of commissioners, Ahmad al-Mulhim.
The first resolution stipulates the amendment of item No. 2 in the procedures required for the evaluation of foreign properties owned and classified as assets, whether fixed or other classifications, in the Center's statement of Annex 1, "Assessment of Real Estate Assets" from Book 11 (dealing in securities) Of Law No. 7 of 2010 on the establishment of the Capital Market Authority and the regulation of securities activity and its amendments.
The new amendment stipulates that the evaluation shall be conducted by at least one specialized and licensed entity to practice the real estate appraisal profession in the country where the decision is being evaluated, unless the Board decides that more than one evaluation is necessary. Note that the first text required the evaluation of at least two aspects.
