A vaccine against a new outbreak of the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) could spread to tens of kilometers and may have started in May, a senior WHO official said on Thursday.

"Officials in the African country have not yet confirmed the type of virus that killed 20 people and wounded 40 others, including two health workers," said WHO Director of Health Emergency Program Peter Salama.
