The Iraqi football team arrived in Ramallah on Friday, arriving from Amman, which arrived on Wednesday, and delayed its arrival in Palestine today because of the Israeli occupation measures at the Karama border crossing.
The delegation arrived in Palestine through the Karama crossing and headed directly to the Hotel in Ramallah during her visit. She was received by the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Issam Qaddoumi, the Deputy Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Munther Masalma, the Vice President of the Football Federation Susan Shalaby, General of the Palestinian Olympic Committee Abdelmajid Hajja, Executive Director of the Football Federation Firas Abuhalal, and a large crowd of sports figures and national, and representatives of the various media.
Kaddoumi welcomed the mission, wishing them a pleasant stay, pointing to the strength of the relationship between the two countries, praising the warm welcome received by the Palestinian "Fedayeen" when he played in Basra in May of this year.
In turn, thanked the head of the Iraqi mission to Asadi, the Palestinian Football Federation, praising the hospitality and Palestinian determination to live despite all difficulties, recalling the Palestinian positions towards Iraq, and praising the strength of relations between the Palestinian and Iraqi Union.
The Palestinian Football Federation pointed out that the date and venue of the technical meeting and the press conference for the national team against his Iraqi brother scheduled for tomorrow, will be Friday evening, Ramallah, while the date of the main training for the Iraqi team at the same date, Al-Husseini, in Al-Ram area, followed immediately by the main training of the Palestinian national team on the same pitch.
