Apple is expected to announce its new smartphone in September. This has been a tradition for many years, although we are still not sure that this could happen in September of this year, but CNET officials decided to do some research and reached some possible dates.
According to CNet, based on the dates when Apple announced its smartphones in the past, this usually happens on Tuesday or Wednesday and no later than the second week of September. This means that in 2018, we have four possible dates we can look forward to, namely 4 and 5 September or the following week on September 11 or 12.
However, CNET points out that Labor Day will be on the first Monday in September in the United States, and on the basis of former workers' holidays, Apple usually chooses to launch its new smartphones the following week, which it did in 2015 and 2016. Leaving us with either 11 or 12 September as a possible date for the official announcement of the new iPhone this year.
Of course this is just speculation at the moment, although based on Apple's past events, it is difficult to argue against logic. In both cases, we'll wait and see, but if Apple is already planning an early announcement in September, we think the media will start receiving calls either at the end of August or perhaps in the first week of September.
