To celebrate the rich heritage, music and talent of the country, the UAE plans to launch a new national orchestra by next year.
The announcement was made by Noura al-Kaabi, UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, who spoke to some 4,000 young Emirati youth at the Youth Forum, sponsored by the Federal Youth Authority in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
Al-Kaabi said that the culture of the United Arab Emirates represents a huge asset for all, stressing that plans are under way to attract local and international expertise to prepare for the orchestra, which is expected to start by 2019.
During the forum, Al-Kaabi addressed young people and tried to have a clear idea of what he wanted to get out of life and how it could improve the country's image abroad.
Al-Kaabi also announced on the sidelines of the forum the launch of an Emirati week in Paris, which will enhance the confidence and presence of the UAE in various international forums, stressing the support of the ideas and visions of UAE youth for development and the importance of preserving culture and traditions.The Youth Forum, organized by the Federal Youth Authority, witnessed the participation of 17 government ministers, each presenting a brief seminar on their thoughts on the future of the UAE.
