Facebook has announced its first data center in Asia by opening a new 11-story data center in Singapore with an area of 170,000 square kilometers to help improve the efficiency of its services and better reach users at a total cost of around $ 1 billion.
The company says the new building will be fully renewable, making it environmentally friendly, especially as it will have a StatePoint Liquid Cooling system that will reduce the company's power consumption and cooling water.
With about 894 million accounts, the Pacific is the region with the highest number of Facebook accounts, accounting for 40% of Facebook users in general, making the region the most user-friendly. Of course, the presence of a data center in Singapore among these regions will help this large proportion of data use and respond faster.
